On Tuesday, October 13, Parkway Bakery & Tavern is opening its doors on a normally closed Tuesday for Throw Down for the Future, a fundraiser benefiting the Louisiana Restaurant Association Education Foundation (LRAEF).
The idea started with Justin Kennedy, General Manager of Parkway and an LRAEF Board Member. Justin dreamed up the event and bought the very first ticket. With the support of the LRA and LRAEF, his idea is coming to life—bringing New Orleans’ restaurant and hospitality community together to support the next generation.

Guests will enjoy bites and drinks from Dickie Brennan & Co., Dooky Chase, Commander’s Palace, Galatoire’s, Napoleon House, Acme Oyster House, Delacroix, Miss Shirley’s, Parkway Bakery & Tavern, Café Du Monde, Copeland’s, New Orleans Ice Cream Company and Jewel of the South.
DJ Captain Charles will provide the soundtrack and help keep the raffle moving, with prizes including bourbon collections, restaurant experiences, a private party at Parkway, gift cards and more.
Every $150 ticket includes one raffle entry, with additional tickets available at the event for $25 each or 5 for $100. You could win rare bourbon, unforgettable dining experiences, a private party at Parkway, NYC adventures, gift cards and more!
Supporting the Future
100% of ticket proceeds benefit LRAEF and its youth programs, including ProStart, a two-year culinary arts and restaurant management program serving high school students in 71 Louisiana schools.
