The Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off (LASCO) is calling on Louisiana Restaurant Association member chefs to take their place on one of the state’s most prestigious culinary stages. Set for June 26, 2026, at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner, this high-energy competition brings together 12 of Louisiana’s top chefs for a live, fast-paced seafood showdown.

Chefs from LRA member restaurants are invited to apply by Tuesday, May 12, 2026, for the chance to compete for the coveted title of King or Queen of Louisiana Seafood. Selected chefs will showcase their talent by preparing five seafood entrées, highlighting Louisiana’s world-class ingredients like shrimp, crab, crawfish, alligator, oysters, and finfish.

Beyond the competition, LASCO is widely known as a “culinary catapult,” opening doors to national recognition, media opportunities, and career advancement. The winner will go on to represent Louisiana at the Great American Seafood Cook-Off (GASCO), July 25 at the LRA Showcase, competing against top chefs from across the country.

With limited spots available, now is the time for LRA member chefs to step forward, represent their restaurant, and elevate their culinary career. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this iconic event.
