Get ready for one of the Bayou Region’s favorite food events! The Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA) Bayou Chapter will host the 11th Annual Bayou Culinary Showcase on Thursday, April 9, from 6–8:30 p.m. at the Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium. This lively evening brings together some of the area’s best restaurants for great food, chef demos, auctions, and plenty of fun—all in support of LRA programs, including ProStart.

Great Food for a Great Cause

ProStart is a nationally recognized, two-year culinary arts and restaurant management program offered in more than 70 Louisiana high schools, including Lafourche Parish School District ProStart and Terrebonne Career & Technical High School. The program introduces students to careers in the hospitality industry, with many continuing their education at the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute at Nicholls State University. The LRA Education Foundation proudly awards more scholarships to ProStart students attending the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute than to students in any other culinary program in the state.

Come Hungry

Guests will enjoy signature dishes from top local restaurants as LRA member chefs compete for the crowd-favorite People’s Choice Award. Participating restaurants include: Off the Hook, Fremin’s/Flanagan’s, Spahr’s Seafood, Bourgeois Meat Market, Walk-On’s Thibodaux, Grady V’s, Chef John Folse Culinary Institute, Cinclare, Cristiano Ristorante, Uncle T’s Cookies, Alumni Grill, and Big Mike’s BBQ.

Adding to the fun, special guest Ledouxitt will serve as master of ceremonies for the evening.

Event Details

Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door, with VIP tables for eight available for $500. Cash bar.
