LRA Showcase 2023 Schedule of Events


​Great American Seafood Cook-Off 
Saturday, August 5

Chefs from across the country will vie for the title of King or Queen of Domestic Seafood in this annual event presented by Louisiana Seafood and Louisiana Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser. The event kicks-off with a parade lead by a marching band and carnival themed characters to celebrate the American bounty of various seafood species. Spectators welcome.

Redefining a Restaurant Empire – Chefs Emeril and E.J. Lagasse Discuss the Future of the Family Business  
Father and son Chef Emeril Lagasse and Chef E.J. Lagasse will take to the stage in a keynote session moderated by New Orleans & Co. President and CEO Walt Leger III. In this session, the chefs will delve into their love of cuisine, heritage and culture, and how those elements have inspired and evolved their culinary philosophy through the years.

Big Easy Bartender’s Bash featuring Rabbit Hole Bourbon
Ten bartenders will face off to see who can create a new spin on an Old-Fashioned Cocktail. LRA Past Chair Greg Reggio will emcee the festivities and interview each bartender as they prepare their signature libation. A panel of industry professionals will judge the creativity, taste and presentation of each, and the winner will win $1,000 in cash and the runner-up will win $750.
