​Big Easy Bartender's Bash - Sunday, August 6


Welcome to the 2nd Annual Big Easy Bartender’s Bash – a cocktail competition held in conjunction with the LRA Showcase, a two-day tradeshow in New Orleans!
​
​Bartenders will face off to see who can create a new spin on an Old-Fashioned Cocktail using Rabbit Hole Bourbons or Rabbit Hole Bespoke Gin. 

Ten participants will compete on August 6, 2023 

The winner will receive $1,000 in cash!

The runner up will receive $750

Participants must be 21 or older to compete.

Submissions for 2023 are closed.

​Rules & Guidelines


Here are a few rules & guidelines to think about before submitting your application.
  • You must present your cocktail in person Sunday, August 6 from 4 – 6:30 p.m. at the LRA Showcase, New Orleans Morial Convention Center, Hall E. Each competing bartender will receive a $200 stipend post-competition.
  • You will be interviewed as you make your cocktail during the competition and present it to a judging panel of three industry professionals.
  • Rabbit Hole product will be available to batch your cocktail for sample tastings by attendees.
  • Each bartender must submit a :30 second to one minute video creating their original cocktail and share an explanation about the inspiration behind the drink.
  • Drink must contain a maximum of seven ingredients.
  • The ingredients used must be easily accessible and able to be purchased in the U.S.
  • ​All submissions will be reviewed and selected by a committee of the Louisiana Restaurant Association. 
  • Competitors must use at least one of the following as the base spirit:
    • Cavehill Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
    • Heigold Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (High Rye Option)
    • Boxergrail Straight Rye Whiskey
    • Dareringer Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (Finished in PX Sherry Casks)
    • Bespoke Gin—a London Dry Gin finished in Rabbit​ Hole Boxergrail Barrels
  • Contestants will be notified of their eligibility by Friday, July 21, 2023.
    • ​Contestants will be sent a selection of Steelite Old Fashioned glasses to choose from to present their cocktail. 
    • Should a contestant wish to use a Cocktail & Sons syrup in their recipe, the syrup will be made available on site. 
By submitting an application, you are complying you are over 21 years of age,
​and you give the LRA and Pernod Ricard permission to use your likeness and recipe.
