The day-to-day operation of the local chapter is the sole responsibility of its officers and directors. Its programming schedule and other areas of member interests is determined by its officers and directors.

Each chapter has a LRA Regional Director who supports the board of directors by coordinating meetings and events. Regional Directors also assist prospective and current members with membership benefits and services, and workers' compensation through the LRA's Self Insurers Fund.
