Chief Executive Officer's Message
Summertime at the Louisiana Restaurant Association means it’s EXPO time! The 57th Annual Louisiana Foodservice EXPO, themed appropriately, “Carnival in the Kitchen,” will be held August 7-9, 2010 at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center.
The creativity in the great kitchens of Louisiana is unmatched. The current BP Oil Crisis has got many of you thinking of possible alternatives to some of your most popular dishes. While we explore our food heritage and future in the months ahead, the EXPO will help you navigate these uncertain times.
More than 300 companies in 430 booths will be under one roof during the EXPO to meet all your restaurant operation needs. From bakery products to computer systems, linen services to uniforms, and everything in between, you’ll find what you need during the three day event.
The LRA Education Foundation will host a series of seminars sure to have you taking notes on which ones you’ll need to attend. Ten Things Operators Need to Know about Louisiana Law and Web 3.0: How Consumers Connect are among many seminars that will address necessary and popular topics within our industry.
If you have yet to register to attend the EXPO, do not delay! Restaurants members receive six free passes—a $180 value. Visit www.LRA.org and click on the “Carnival in the Kitchen” logo on the home page to begin the registration process. If you have questions, please call the LRA Office at (504) 454-2277.
See you at the EXPO!
Sincerely,
