LRA GREATER NEW ORLEANS CHAPTER
ANNOUNCES ANNUAL AWARD WINNERS


Metairie, LA—The Louisiana Restaurant Association Greater New Orleans Chapter announced the annual award winners January 24 during the Chapter’s Awards Banquet at the Marriott on Canal Street.

The Restaurateur of the Year award went to Joel Dondis, owner of Joel’s Grand Cuisine and La Petite Grocery. Restaurateur of the Year is the most prestigious award given by the Chapter to recognize outstanding contributions to the hospitality industry.

The Active Member of the Year was awarded to Tommy Cvitanovich, owner of Drago’s Seafood Restaurant, and the Associate Member of the Year went to Nick Hazard, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Crescent Crown Distributing.

Lt. Governor Mitch Landrieu won the Distinguished Service Award in recognition for innovations and significant contributions to the advancement of the hospitality industry.

Owen “Pip” Brennan earned the Hall of Fame Award for his long, faithful, dedicated and outstanding service to the Louisiana Restaurant Association and the state restaurant industry. Brennan was inducted into the LRA State Hall of Fame in 1978.
